Dear friends, acquaintances and enthusiasts,

I have not been entirely clear in my last newsletter. My task is not so much to found a brick monastery, as to simply have the people found their own monastery.

What do I mean by that?
The path of contemplation and silence is a path of liberation. A liberation from being bound to a context. This means that we can be SILENT in any context.

The various contemplation days have given me this understanding. The contexts were/are not perfect, often very limited and all but silent. And yet ... It is precisely these contexts which show me that silence IS in there. In an unforgettable way!

Therefore, the path is a path of the infinitely silent place (read: monastery) in ourselves. This is the only place our quest must address. All other places are merely a slight reflection of this. This insight and experience give much space and inner freedom.

Very warm regards,
Miek
